Didnt work for me

Lots of glowing comments on this board but I cant say this worked out as well. Its back to Plantronics for me. My clients are always complaining about hearing feedback and echoing. We use the ShoreTel 230 Voip phone systems. I do like the feature that will allow me to play something from the computer through the headset as opposed to my speakers but besides that this amounts to a $300 mistake.

I really like my new headset so far. It has crystal clear reception that allows both me and my caller to hear each other without static. The headband is so comfortable I don't even notice I am wearing it. The only thing that I don't like is the inability to answer and end calls from a distance. I had a headset at a previous job that allowed this and it was wonderful.

Great for VOIP

Recently changed my phone service from traditional wire/instrument to a computer based soft phone VOIP. After trying several options decided on this model. Very clear reception good range. Can leave the desk and even leave the building without losing contact. Good battery life, lasting 8-9 hours, but not the 12 advertised. On the other hand, it charges very quickly so putting the unit in the cradle over lunch and/or periodically handles the problem. Fairly comfortable, but unlike my old Plantronics, it does start to make my ear sore by the end of the day if I don't remove it during the day.

Incredible headseat, best one on the market!

I've had all kinds of headsets in my career and thought that plantronics was the best, but no longer. Pretty Good

I have only been using the headset for about a day and my first comment would be that it seems to be pretty good. Sound and ease of operation and set up are fine. My only real complaint would be comfort. If you buy this product figure on using the headband as the ear pieces are garbage. They do not hold the headset tight to your head and the speaker has no padding at all. It is hard plastic against your ear and becomes uncomfortable almost immediately. But if you don't mind using the headband, this seems to be a good product.

Free Trial: Not Worth The Time

I did not like the Office Runner at all. I had to call twice to get help on programming the ring tones in the headset. The ring is a very faint beep. When other phones rang in the office the headset would beep, excessive noise around the phone caused it to beep. Basically you have this annoying faint beep in your ear constantly.
The headset base was ok. For the money it is not as good as the older less expensive models.

I have several customer service users that have switched to these headsets and I have heard nothing but praise. Less than impressed

This headset is very visually pleasing but it lacks in functionality. The earpiece is very uncomfortable. I was on a 2 hour conference call the other day and couldn't wait to get the thing off my ear. I also don't like the fact that it just stops working at least once a month, if not more, and I have to unplug and plug it back in to reset it. This is another hassle because the cover over the back is very difficult to get on and off. The sound quality and range are very good though. I believe that is the only saving grace.

Overall good sound; hard to wear unless you use the headband

Other than a little reverb, the sound is good. It is very comfortable when you use the headband, but is loose and wobbly if you just use the ear loop. I much prefer the Plantronics earloop.

Expected a catch to the free trial - but there wasn't one. Having tried it I now know why, the product is great. Cons: lifter should be included, don't know how it would work without it.
Wish it came with the call indicator light.
The "button" on the cube is easily scratched by my fingernails.
Pros: Easy set-up.
Allows me so much more freedom!
Easy to use.
Sound quality great.
With most businesses having to do more with less, this small investment gives me the freedom to get more things accomplished throughout most of our facility. I'm all about value and this is a great one. Would recommend (and have!) in a heartbeat. Customer service is impeccable and FUN!

This headset does have great sound quality, but the charging station is awkward, the over-the-ear attachments are uncomfortable and mostly unusable and the headset doesn't tell you when your phone is ringing. If I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't.

I ordered your wireless headset with the 60 day free trial. Once I got the product I immediately began about setting it up. After about a half hour of frustration and the cost of a splitter, I called tech support to find out this headset doesn't work with cordless telephones. It doesn't say anywhere in the marketing materials that you need a "corded" phone to use this product. This was a huge waste of my time.

The support stand recepticale is clumsy when trying to mount the headset.
Also, when picking up the headset off the mounting stand the over-the-head headset wants to catch on the back of the stand.
It's an appealing design, but lacks in some functionability.

This headset, while pleasing to the eye, does not have the best sound quality. It sounds like the person on the other end is far away. Also, the cover on the back over the input and output lines is very hard to get on and off. Other than that it is fairly comfortable and very easy to use.

Office Runner

I recently bought an Office Runner headset. I had a very good experience with the customer rep, Bren. He was very informative and helpful! I didn't have to wait long to receive the product. It came 3 days later. I called recently to ask a technical question and spoke with Leah. She was very patient as we troubleshooted the problem I had. When I originally set up the headset and lifter, I had to "teach" the headset to recognize the ringing of the phone. Evidently, I did not do it properly and the headset repeatedly failed to signal me when the phone rang. Plus, I have roll over phone lines and the headset would never signal me when those lines rang. Leah walked me through the recognization of the ringing again and since then, I have had no problems with the headset alerting me to calls. The only change I would make in the design of the headset would be to make the mouthpiece a flexible plastic so that I could bend it away from my face.

Pros: very light, very comfortable, very clear sound (transmit & receive) over voip phone. Excellent headset for telephone use.
Cons: does not work as anywhere near as well as a $45 Logitech headset for Dragon Dictate (10+ year user, tried all the training tricks)
NOTE: X-Lite voip (v3 and v4)and OfficeRunner do not have a compatible hookswitch feature.

Good sound quality

The sound quality is excellent! 5 points! I can no longer use my flashing light that lets people know I am on the phone which is a point off. It does not have an in the ear gel which means I have to wear it over my head as the ear loop is very uncomfortable. This is another point off. If it wasn't for the AWESOME sound quality I would chuck it out the window and go back to the plantronics.

Not too sure about this headset. Lifter is quieter, has sleek look. Does not sit in base well for recharging and already had to call for tech support and was told that the headset and base lost it's connection and would have to reboot. Then was informed that "this may happen once a month or even a few times a week, just like your computer. All headsets have this happen" When I pointed out that the headsets we've had for 4 1/2 years have not needed it and if my computers had this happen I would be calling my IT people to fix it. The answer was "it just happens, they all do it. it's electronic equipment." At this point I am very glad it is a 60 free trial. I will certainly be keeping the box for return until I see how this goes.

Great for Dragon Naturally Speaking and Phone

I've used the wired Sennheiser ME3 microphone (and a variety of other microphones) with Dragon Naturally Speaking for years. Every prior headset/microphone solution presented a comfort problem, lower than expected performance with Dragon, and/or the inevitable cord becoming wrapped around a chair caster wheel. This device has cured the above-listed problems for me.

For Dragon Naturally Speaking users ~ I got a score of 25 during the Dragon setup with this microphone (highest I've ever accomplished) and the dictation results have been phenomenal.

Not only are the dictation results great, but I find it very useful to feed computer sounds to the headset...including music from music players.

I didn't purchase a phone lifter because I thought I wouldn't need it...but the convenience of the headset is so great, I'm actually changing my phone habits in favor of using the headset rather than other devices/means.

To be fair, the quality of music playback from the computer to the headphone seems to lack depth, but that actually helps me work without feeling like I'm at a live concert...more like having some music on in the room for background but with the benefit that nobody else can hear it.

Prefer the plantronics

I have had both the Plantronics and the Sennheiser. The Plantronics is more comfortable on the ear and the hand up button is easier to push. Both good, but I would recommend the Plantronics over the Sennheiser. All other functions including call quality is the same.

Fidelity and range appear fine. I'm not real crazy about the necessity of turning earpiece on every time I pick it up to use. Definately do not like the way the earpiece hangs from my ear and I will probably not keep the unit for that reason. I am trying to give it every chance but it's not looking good at this point.

Base unit is well designed and with a very comfortable ear piece. Despite claims, there is no improvement in my range as compared with my well-worn Plantronics CS55. The one negative in design is that the headset button is not sufficiently tactile, so I don't know if the button has been pushed. Quite annoying.

So far I like the OfficeRunner very much. I had the AT&T wireless headset and lifter and it was a bummer. I had feed back problems as I wear a hearing aid and there was a constant buzzing noise coming from the lifter. None of those problems are present with the OfferRunner. Great product. Easy to use and easy to install.

Love my new headset. It is so comfortable that I forget I'm even wearing it. I also like the sleek design. I had a short ear bud and wasn't sure about the longer ear piece but I like it. People can just point to my ear and people know I am on the phone.

I just completed my second day with this unit, and it really is pretty awesome. I am on a 60 day free trial, and at this point I don't see a reason to not purchase it. I was able to charge it up out of the box and get it ready for use in about 25 minutes. The sound quality is great! Nobody can tell that I am even on a headset, and some have even commented on the improved sound quality that it produces. I even walked outside my house to another house across the street just to test how far I could get away from the base, and my caller could still hear me clearly! Confort is a big thing with me, and I like how comfortable it is, especially with the flexibility of using either the over the ear or the over the head configuration, and the battery seems to be very good so far too. I thought it was a little pricey, but the quality seems to justify the cost. I have been a "speaker phone" guy for years beacuse of poor experiences in the past with other head sets, but they way things are going I will be converting to "headset guy" very soon!

headset works as advertised. good reception. One item: instructions should remind the user that the volume control direction (up/down)depends on which side you are wearing the headset on. This had me confused until I called your helpdesk

Love the design and the clear sound. LOVE that the charging time is less and that we can stay on for more than 8 hours at a time. Love the distance we can walk around with them. My boss has one and several people now have them in our office. The only negative is that they have a hard time (for some reason) figuring out how to place the ear piece on the charger. At least it gives me a good laugh!

The headset is great. The sound quality is exceptional and the volume control makes it functional in a variety of settings. The only problem is with the pushbutton toggle from phone to headset. It sometimes takes 3 or 4 tries to get it to switch over. Fix that and you will have a great product.

Sennheiser is the best

I have to comment on the new Sennheiser headset. It replaced one I've been using and that until now I had found to be totally satisfactory. But, the Sennheiser is headset and shoulders above any other I've used. Crystal clear sound quality - for both standard calls and the delightful feature of instant one touch over to Skype calls as well. I have yet to exceed the distance I can travel from my desk to other parts of our business campus - what a treat to keep the call going without interruption while I walk over to the next meeting. Thanks - the Sennheiser is the best.

Very high quality and functional headset and I wonder how I did without it before now. I use it for long conference calls, but find I like using it for normal calls to because it frees up my hands and is easy on the neck muscles.

I tried several other headsets before landing on Sennheiser. It's a step above all the others. The fidelity of the earpiece and clarity of the mike are both markedly superior (I didn't think they'd be different until I tried the two most popular brands).

The Sennheiser unit is comfortable to wear for long periods (I used the padded earpiece with the loop that fits on my head). It has a mute button with subtle feedback so you know the call is muted, and good volume controls. The unit is easy to install and the battery lasts for hours. It also charges quickly.

It's a breeze to switch from phone use to computer use and it's outstanding for skype or other internet telephony applications. The headset also has huge range with no degradation of signal.

The base station is small and a aesthetically pleasant design and it's properly weighted so it doesn't slide around the desk. I'd like to think of something negative but I honestly can't.
