Great device, but WAY OVER PRICED

This works just fine, but is VERY over priced. I bought several on ebay for less than $2.00 each.

This is a poorly manufactured accessory that is grossly over-priced. (you should be ashamed of the margins you are getting for this!)

I cannot understand that given the movement towards the smartphone design (and the 3.5 mm audio jack that goes along with that) Headsets.com would not offer a 3.5 mm quick disconnect on its wired headsets. You sell to a higher income target market whose take-rate on the samrtphone style of devices is going through the roof yet you are behind on your accessory offerings.

The first use of the Overture Cellular convinced me I bought the right headset. I was looking for superior audio so listners could hear me with clarity and no background noise. With the adapter it works great with my Blackberry 3.5 port and I was so sold I ordered a second headset and adapter for the car. The staff at Headsets.com is fantastic to work wtih!

Fails in a short period of time

Love the idea but I have had three of these now and two quit working within a couple of months (sound very low or gone, connection on the phone end too weak) and the third, newest, doesn't work with the phone at all, only with the iPod function.

I have had this product for 3 months and am going to have to replace it. No choice -I live on conference calls. When it's working it's great. Didn't realize I was buying a disposable item.

Works but is very flimsy

I am in the process of ordering this product a second time. The original product lasted 14 months until the wire sleeve broken exposing the wires at the 2.5mm jack end. Within days of this exposure the product failed.

Waste of Money

The item was wastefully packaged in a box full of Styrofoam despite that it is small enough to fit into any envelope. The adapter cord is thin and flimsy. The first time I used it, the casing slid off the plug when I tried to remove it from the jack.

headset adapter for new cell phones

A little pricey but this device works as advertised, adapting 3.5 mm four pole to 2.5 mm 3 pole jack. With my Blackberry it enabled me to use my new Headsets.com headset as well as an old one I had from my previous phone.

Works but cable is a delicate

This adapter allows me to use my standard cordless telephone headset with my iPhone. Sounds quality is good.

However, after about 2 months of use I am beginning to see copper where the cable connects to the 2.5mm plug. This is with regular use.

I have just ordered a 2.5/3.5mm plug adapter (no cable) to see if that is a better option.

Crucial product

This was the most crucial piece of my order. With it I am able to now use with my iPhone which was very difficult to find. I am pleased, however, the wire is very flimsy and I am very concerned about the durability. Again, I am comforted by the great customer service and the warranty at Headsets.com. Thanks again guys. I can't stand Bluetooth. So my only solution is a corded headset. Problem is, I have an iPhone and finding a corded 3.5mm headset is almost impossible. Thanks to Headsets.com for solving my problem. Quality of the product is a 7 out of a 10. Product could us a little more reinforcement in the adapter cable connection areas. I usually go through one every 2-3 months so this time I purchased 2. The adapter works with all 2.5mm head sets.

Necessity but Flimsy

This product fulfills an important need. I listen to podcasts (mostly voice rather than music) all the time on my iPhone, but want to be ready if a call comes in. A single-ear cellular phone headset works great for my needs, with this adapter.
However, it is flimsy and is starting to break after just 2 weeks. Needs more reinforcement.
