Aliph Jawbone ICON Bluetooth Headset

I've owned the previous generation Jawbones 1 & 2. Both were not user friendly and sacrificed function for form. They got great reviews (I still don't know why) but fit terribly, were fragile or bulky (gen 1) and overpriced. Plus pressing the hidden buttons was never easy to activate or find.

The ICON on the other hand is smart & intuitive. It's simple and it works well. The sliding on/off switch is great because I can see at a glance if it's active. Pushing the activation button once I know power status (with an iPhone it even shows the battery level on the screen). No more guessing. Finally, the ear loop is gone and the fit is secure. So it's easier to wear and position and I can now stuff it in my pocket with less concern about breaking the old version's ear clip. Jawbone is fianlly living up to its hype.

I've been using this headset for a few weeks now and I am impressed. The sound quality is about on par with most other headsets but its the extra features that set this one apart.

The new on/off switch make is quick and easy to start using as opposed to the old method of holding the button down and waiting.

Best of all are the new voice notifications. When you switch the unit on it actually tells you how much battery life is left. No more guessing whether or not the battery will make it through your next call, or the hassle of always taking the headset into my house or office to charge it during the day. After feeling a bit let down by the Jawbone Prime, I'm quite happy with the new ICON.
